It does not matter. You can still make money in the markets regardless.

Knowledge neutralizes the fear and weeds through the confusion. Incorporating a team will also prove to be beneficial, but you should ultimately look to improve on your own knowledge in investing.

Investing can be quite tricky. Knowledge is what simplifies the process. One of the worst things that you can do is listen to your friends strategy's and hot tips.

The best way to approach investing is to learn for your self, techniques and strategies, and decide which way best suits your purpose and what your intentions are in investing.

An extremely useful and effective tool in helping you develop basic fundamental skills in investing is the board game Cashflow by the producer of the Rich Dad series, Robert Kiyosaki.

This may sound simplistic and unrealistic, but these games truly help build your financial knowledge, as well as your skills and vocabulary of technical trading. Games are a powerful mechanism because they reflect our true behavior.

As a learning tool, games enable people to 'learn by doing' and, very often, the learning process is such fun that it's easy to forget that a key purpose of playing one of these games is to heighten financial literacy.

Cashflow 101

For people who want to learn basic fundamental skills, Cashflow 101 is an excellent tool.

By playing Cashflow 101 repeatedly you begin to understand the basics of fundamental analysis. It is recommended playing it at least 6 to 12 times. After playing it, you will be amazed at how much your understanding of financial skills improve.

Cashflow 202

Once you are comfortable with the basic knowledge you've gained, you should then step up to Cashflow 202.

In this game is when you began to learn the complex skills and vocabulary of technical trading. 202 is played using the same game board as 101, so you must have 101 in order to play 202.

In 202 is where you will learn the trading techniques such as short selling, which is selling shares you do not own, in anticipation of the price coming down.

You also learn to use call options, put options, and straddles. All of these are very sophisticated trading techniques, which all qualified investors need to know.

Both Cashflow games 101 and 202 are offered also as computer software programs as well, enabling you to play them on your computer. They can be played without the need of multiple players, so you're able to play more often.

They are played the exact same way on the computer as on the board game. Again you need 101 to play 202.
